Visiting Tolkien Library
While Tolkien Library is not a public bookshop, visits to view material or discuss a project are possible by appointment only. Because much of the collection is rare, irreplaceable, and constantly changing, we do not publish a physical address online. If you would like to arrange a visit, please contact me directly to discuss the details.
Tolkien Library is based in Risør, a historic coastal town in southern Norway, known for its wooden houses, narrow streets, and beautiful views over the Skagerrak. It is a place worth visiting in its own right — a quiet, inspiring setting that pairs perfectly with the world of books and stories.
For collectors and clients who make the journey, I am always happy to arrange a private viewing of selected items from the collection, followed by a relaxed get-together with good food, a drink, and plenty of conversation about Tolkien and collecting. These meetings are one of the most rewarding parts of my work — a chance to share knowledge, stories, and passion in person.

Shipping and Handling
Books and collections are shipped worldwide with FedEx, fully insured and packed to the highest standards. Most shipments are dispatched on Mondays, but arrangements can always be made for urgent deliveries. Each item is tracked from departure to arrival, and care is taken at every stage to ensure it reaches you safely.
